Olympia Oyster House

The food was lovely and the oysters were definitely fresh! The view is also amazing! The restaurant was a bit cold for me but that's cause I run cold most of the time????. I'd recommend this place to everyone. It is definitely family friendly.

Gave this place a rest for awhile...heard under new management and came back ..very glad we did . This place is a piece of Olympia history
Great interior design makes you feel close to being on the water. Great views ..best clam chowder I have ever ate. Service, perfect. Everything we have tried has been delicious.

The food is good and the atmosphere is decent. They were able to accommodate my 10 page party including two kids. However, in recent years the Oyster House has jacked up there prices and while the food is good, it is not worth what they are charging. In addition to this, my grandma received a meal that she ordered many times in the past. However, this time around the meal was completely different and she was very displeased. For a romantic date, it might be a good choice. Otherwise, save your money for something else.

This is an Olympia landmark restaurant; it's been here forever. It is easy to find and access. It can be a challenge to exit, especially for left turns. It is essentially the same indoors, outdoors, and menu as under the previous owners. What's clearly different is the improved attitude of the entire staff.
It was the busiest I have seen this place in years. This is a good sign.
We stopped in for a lunch of fish tacos and fish & chips. I made the mistake of getting beer batter on my fish; it never seems to be properly drained of frying oil. The fish was moist and tasty, but I will try the panko breading next time. We will return before long.

Wonderful experience at the Olympia Oyster House. We came here to have a high quality seafood experience and the fun and Casual atmosphere made it even more easy to love. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating, our food was served piping hot. We had fish and chips in the form of crispy beer battered halibut, as well as their clam chowder. The fries were crispy and lightly seasoned and their coleslaw was just like homemade. Five stars to this downtown Olympia staple!
