Young's Teriyaki

I don't understand what about Yelm produces multiple great quality sit-down restaurants but.. The food, the service, and the overall quality quantity and price of the food here was all exceptional and set bars for me in terms of what an actual dining experience for Teriyaki should be like. I'm used to mall teriyaki where you usually avoid it or risk getting sick- or even teriyaki in Tacoma or Lakewood which can be gooey though served with a smile. Here in Yelm though at Young's Teriyaki, the food is crisp and well seasoned in generous portions sizes that will ensure you're taking a doggy bag on the way out. For this type of experience in Tacoma or Southcenter you'd expect the meal to easily be $30 or higher, but here you can have a well-priced meal with appetizer drink and meal for $15-20; you can even get it for a better price without the appetizer. The staff was friendly, like walking in to your friend's home when you were younger, greeting you with a smile and waving you over to sit down to eat. Definitely if you have time, take a seat here and grab a bite to eat- I assure you you'll have as delightful an experience as I had with my two roommates.

At first glance, the menu is a little pricey -- then they bring out gigantic portions and any doubts you previously had go out window. The spring roll (singular) is as big around as my arm and comes with side of peanut sauce so big it needs it's own spoon. The service is incredible as the staff are quick and willing to provide whatever you need from cleaning up and replacing a spilled drink to take out containers. There's only one family restroom and it's a bit walk but there are no questions here: the food is worth every penny.

I love their spring rolls with peanut sauce ♥️ they also have very good gyoza and teriyaki chicken!

Man this is a gem. Delicious hot food. Hot tea and hot soup were great. Very fast service as they ramped up into a rush around 2pm. We judge lots of places by their house fried rice and this was really delicious. Will come again!
