Serves All Day Breakfast but not Steak Bagels. Service was a lttle slow. Sausage egg mcmuffins were hot and fresh.
Being a former McDonald's senior manager, my expectations upon entering any McDonald's is far higher than any average customer. With that being said, there are at times circumstances that potentially affect a customer's visit and should be considered at the time of evaluation.
This morning, we walked into the Flatwoods McDonald's at 6:00 am. Our order was simple. One Coffee, a LG tea half cut, a med soda and a hot cakes with sausage. The store and drive thru we're empty when we entered. The cashier was attentive, but glancing over to the shift/opening manager, I was disturbed to see her texting on her phone on the front line. To add insult to injury, the drive thru cashier was eating and drinking along side of the vertical cabinets. Ok, just over look it..I tried. But the cashier informed me that they didn't have unsweet tra in the lobby..that I needed to fill my cup with as much sweet as I'd like and they'd top it off with unsweet. So, approaching the beverage island, there is sweet tea, the liner is reflecting two contradicting experation dates and times and there was no lid on top of the tea urn. Hmmmm...so I proceed to the front counter, and the manager states they have unsweet tea they're just not able to get access to it bcuz the truck order just arrived. Ok, this IS the problem I have with all of it. The store was not busy. Perhaps if the manager was more concerned with enduring ALL of her products were in place PRIOR to opening as she was with being on her phone the store would run more efficiently. Excuses...the last thing anybody wants to hear is an excuse, especially when the tea Brewer is within eyes view and I could clearly see another tea urn in position. With regards to no lid on the tea urn in the lobby..that has potential to be a hit or violation should the health department wander in for a random visit. Also, brooms and dustpans do not linger in the lobby. C'mon people, what ever happened to taking pride in your job? Put the damn phones away and focus on your customers, the cleanliness of your store and excellent QSCV! Get it together people!!
