Holy cow. Just go. Went late afternoon and they said an hour wait. Decided what the heck. Table was ready 20 minutes later. Got the fries with the works. Pimento cheese, bacon, jalapenos. It was worth it for those alone. The Kennedy sandwich was a great take on a Cuban. No crisis here. Ha ha ha. Ask your parents about that grandad joke.
Good food but wait staff was slow (45 minutes for our food)Had to ask server what was taking our order so long. She disappeared and didn't return for ten minutes, had to force eye contact when she did come back and she said "they are working on your food now"...when asked about what happened she said "there were big parties before you"...which is fine but would have liked more open communication/updates.
Still gave a good rating due to the food and environment.
Very friendly waiter. Delicious sandwiches and pimiento cheese covered loaded fries. We were in town for vacation and we were looking up places to eat after our 2 and 1/2 hour horseback ride. Great atmosphere. Great food. Always looking for unique places to eat. This would be it.
This place had delicious and creative Sandwiches. The service was good. It seems like there is often a wait but they have a lovely place to chill and get a drink. I did not try there burgers but they looked good. Next time I am in the area this will be high on my list of places to go.
We came here for a late lunch when we were visiting for the weekend.
This place must be popular. We got there at 2:30 and there was a 30 minute wait for a table much to our surprise.
We split 3 sandwiches--the Lafayette, the Roosevelt, and the McKinley. Of the three, the McKinley was by far our favorite. We weren't very impressed by the Roosevelt and the Lafayette was fairly good but the chicken was a little dry.
We also all split the loaded pimento cheese fries. They were good, but I've had better pimiento cheese. As far as sides, we tried both the chips and the regular fries. Both were good, but I liked the chips the most.
Overall this is a solid lunch spot to stop for sandwiches. Come with a small group or expect to wait.
