The Hermitage Inn & Taphouse

My experience here was pleasant. I booked a room last second since I was purchasing a ATV down the street and its a 6 hour drive from home. Checked in at 9pm, staff was polite and professional and helped me out finding a place to eat. My room was absolutely spotless, by far one of the cleanest hotels rooms I’ve ever been in. The building seems old but all the decor is modern. My particular room (single king bed) had a mini fridge, keurig coffee machine, bottles of water, the shower was stocked with soaps, and a large flat screen tv. In the morning upon check out the lobby was fully stocked with multiple breakfast options for the taking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a reasonably priced nice room.

This Inn has been completely renovated and it is beautiful! We flew to Grant County Airport from DC for the night, and this place was amazing. To be honest, it looked like we were the first people to stay in the room. The entire property is pristine! The rooms aren't fancy but very comfortable and beautifully decorated with modern painted brick, flooring/rug, and dark fixtures. The staff was fantastic. Can't wait to try the Taphouse when we come to stay again.

We just stayed three nights to see family for Thanksgiving and the renovations on the Inn are amazing! The place is practically brand new and so modern. The beds are very comfortable and the staff were so friendly. We brought our dog and there were so many ways to exit that it was very easy to get him outside. Thanks for everything!

I was in the area visiting friends and found this super cute and inviting place to stay. I was told the hotel has been in operation since 1881. Don't let the age fool you because this place has been completely renovated all while preserving it's history. In fact construction was just completed a week prior to my stay. My room was very charming and cozy. I am typically a light sleeper but I slept great during my two night stay. They are in the process of building a Taphouse as well which is located directly in front of the hotel. I can't wait to try it the next time I am in town. The front desk gal was super friendly and accommodating when I asked for extra towels. As I was checking out, a woman approached and asked me about my stay, to which I pretty much gave a verbal review of my room and how friendly the staff was, she let me know she (and her husband) were the owners and thanked me for my stay. I could tell by our conversation just how much she loved her community. You just don't get that at the bigger chain hotels.(SN: I took a picture of my room but having trouble uploading. I'll keep trying!)

I haven't had the pleasure of staying there yet. But I personally know the staff is top notch and will take care of each guest! Being local to the area, seeing the beautiful remodel of the Hermitage has been nothing short of breath taking! So excited to see the restaurant open and be able to eat some delicious food!
