When Pigs Fly Barbeque and Catering

Honestly this was an amazing place to eat. I know it's been closed for a while and I miss it terribly. I remember me and my dad use to get pulled pork sandwiches and ribs from there every year when the bikers rode through rainelle. It seemed like when my dad passed in 2016 this place didnt last much longer. It's been weird not having my ribs when the bikers come through. But this was my favorite place to eat out of anywhere.

I always look forward to their delicious BBQ when they come to our local fair in Halifax County VA. This year was no different. I bought a SOBO potato, a pulled pork plate, 1/2 chicken, and 1/2 slab of ribs. All of it was delicious. I hope that they continue their success and visit us again.

We love BBQ, but we weren't sure what to expect in WV (we are from OK/TX). It was really good! I got a "barbecuban" sandwich that was absolutely fantastic! Wish we lived closer so we could visit again!

Some of the best we've ever had. Nice selection of choices, friendly staff, and homemade sauces to top it off. If you're anywhere near it's today worth going to.

A change of pace from fast food. We stopped for late lunch on Sunday afternoon.

Pros - good food that tastes home made rather than microwaved fast food. We had a couple pulled pork sandwiches and a pulled pork plate. HUGE meat servings. Added sauce from choices of several different barbeque sauces. Side of baked beans with more flavor than store brand and good homemade coleslaw. Fabulous local ice cream

Price is a little more than fast food but less than sit down chain

Small local place that was not busy at 2 pm on Sunday so had a chance to talk to friendly owner.

We plan to return and try other sides by sharing a sandwich order and getting a plate of sides
