Very good place to eat. There was a good variety of menu items. Service and food was very good.
The Caboose has been operating in Clarksburg for many years. They have a good menu. Our organization used the Caboose for a dinner meeting recently and were pleased. They do not have separate rooms for meetings that I know of. Well pleased.
Ate here for the first time with relatives. The reviews we read in advance were good. We had a pleasant experience on a Friday pm. It wasn't too busy and the service was excellent! We remained at our table well beyond the meal, but felt welcome. The food was fine, but nothing outstanding.
Pros: Superb wings, though sometimes too large. Authentic, well-balanced marinara made in-house. Strip and filet steaks are aged, well seasoned, and very flavorful - worth the money, even. Also, crab cakes are excellent. Stuffed-pepper appetizer may be the best in town. Side-salads are near perfect with house dressing. Decor is unique and interesting.
Cons: Menu is unbalanced, a little random - not fine dining, not Italian, not gastro-pub, but an incongruous mix of each. Side items are limited. Drinks can be pricey and the pours are a bit shallow corresponding directly to the age of the bartender, younger worse, older better.
Very unique aesthetic. It runs with a prohibition era theme, and it works very well. The food is fine with an overall decent menu. The puzza is surprisingly good. The hours leave a bit to be desired however. It's a place that you need to visit at least once to appreciate what it has to offer.
