The best casual dining in the panhandle! Great menu, friendly staff and wonderful vibe. Spring and summer are the best on the patio with the town run flowing through.

The wife and I went there for breakfast. The breakfast menu is small, however that is not a bad thing. It means that what is on there, is done well. Both of our dishes were very good. I was asked if I wanted hot sauce with my meal. I said yes. The waitress came back with more varieties of hot sauce than I anticipated. She explained the heat level of them and then left them all for me to experiment with. Our coffee cups were never less than 1/4 full. Fantastic service.

Love the place. Food is great and I think they have the best crab cake in the area. You get a lot of food and usually take the food home. The only thing I don’t like about the place is sometimes certain people that work there are rude. The waitresses are great, but I think the people that run it are not so nice to them. I still recommend the place and eat there any chance I get. I would like to see them give you bigger cups for hot tea and offer you a second cup with another tea bag. They always refill my husbands cup of coffee but never offer me that second cup of tea. What they charge for the cup of tea could buy you a box of 100 tea bags and I’m sure they get them at cost. I feel that I am entitled to that second cup. He certainly would not be losing any money over it. Just a good customer service thought. I guess I could bring my own bags and ask for a cup of hot water. Or better yet, bring my own thermos with hot tea.

Ate here for the first time. Food was really good, no complaints there. Service was friendly although in my opinion could've been a better if there was an extra check in or two. However, I was here with a decent sized group (6) on a Friday evening and they were pretty busy. Great atmosphere, very much a Shepherdstown establishment. Will definitely try again and would recommend to anyone looking for a simple, yummy meal.

Delicious and still cheap!! Order any appetizer, they're all great. Amazing in the spring/summer because you can sit in the grotto, it is gorgeous back there. With the stream, the patio, and the service, it is truly a great place to eat.
