Visited today and it was great! Brisket sandwiches were killer as was the potato salad. I'd have spent the same at a fast food joint at a fraction of the quality. The staff was also upbeat and friendly. Big thumbs up ????

Loved this place. Brisket was nice and tender; potato salad and dirty rice were good. Devil Anse IPA went down easily. Best of all was an awesome, friendly staff.

Excellent barbecue and perfect for any soul food lovers. The sauce is delicious, but you don't even need it as the meat is perfectly cooked and has delicious smoked flavor. Check out the Happy Hour deals! And enjoy. :)

I had a barbeque brisket sandwich with hot sauce. The brisket was tender and perfectly smoked, and the sauce was tangy, spicy and very flavorful. The green beans were good, (not cooked to death) but I definitely recommend the collard greens as a side of choice. The dirty rice was spicy! I have never had spicy rice before and I liked it! The atmosphere is casual and fun and the service friendly. I will definitely be back when traveling through Charleston again!

The restaurant was bright and the staff was friendly. I got the combination plate with ribs and brisket, and green beans and sweet potato casserole as sides. I requested fatty brisket, because I feel it's the most flavorful, and they delivered. I did notice an extra $2 charge on the bill later (which they hadn't informed me of before paying) which might be the upcharge for the fatty pieces. Other places have charged extra for this, and it's certainly worth it to me. It was the most tender, delicious brisket I've had, and I've had quite a few. What impressed me the most was that even the few non-fatty pieces of brisket they gave me were very tender and melt-in-your-mouth good. Usually I can't stand the non fatty pieces! The ribs were also to die for, and both sides tasty. I would definitely stop back in any time I come through the area.
