Thyme Bistro

We stopped in before going on to the Trans Allegheny Asylum right around the block and had a great lunch. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich with fries.

We got off to a rocky start, beer taps were down, so we got mixed drinks that I felt we're really tiny, maybe 3 oz total if you subtracted the ice. But the bartender, I wish I caught his name, a big burly guy, saved the day and got the CO2 working and brought us a couple complimentary beer samples, the beer was good, the food was excellent, and our waitress, named Christine , I think, was super friendly and personable. I will definitely be back there any time I pass near the area. Crab Mac and cheese recommended. Oh, and we were seated right away walking in with no reservation, someone complained in their review they were turned away?

I made a trip to Weston today to visit the asylum, and I wanted to eat at a local restaurant. I am not sorry I chose Thyme Bistro. There is not one thing I could complain about. The food was excellent, and the service was great too. The only thing I am sorry about is I don't live closer. I'd be a regular customer if I did!
