Woodburn Shanks Pit BBQ

First time. Got the pulled pork sandwich n beans. So damn good. Legit. Tried the KC spicy sauce n Texas Sauce. Good price, good food, quick friendly service. This place will be in my lunch rotation

Guys, if you haven’t tried it, go! It exceeded my expectations on all fronts! I’ve had Texas bbq, in Texas. And this was better! We walked in and had our food within 5-7 minutes. We watched them pull the meats apart and place them on our platters. It was falling apart and delicious. We tried a couple bbq sauces and they were all good. The cheese corn did not disappoint this cheese lover, and the mac and cheese had just enough heat. It is affordable to top it all off!

This place has the most authentic BBQ that we have found in Morgantown so far! The ribs we had were dry and seemed like they might have been cooked too long ago, but everything else was awesome! Brisket was our favorite. I will be returning soon! If the ribs were a little better, this would be a 5 start review, but I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes BBQ! Be aware there is only outside seating.

Hands down the best Catfish Po-boy sandwich I have ever had! The fries are amazing as well. I stopped in to try the bbq but heard the chief mention to another customer he had the catfish as well so I gave that a try. It was a crispy fried fillet with hot sauce and Cole slaw on a wonderful bun. The only disappointment was I was unable to finish my meal because the portions overwhelmed my appetite.

I have to start by saying I am a huge BBQ fan, and I've eaten at most local places in the area. And Woodburn, hands down is the best I've had in years. The brisket (best I ever had) was juicy, and had a perfect texture and was full of flavor. The mac n cheese was flavorful and spicy. I tried the sweet Kansas city sauce and it was unlike any other sauce I've tried. Well done, Woodburn Shanks!! I cant wait to try everything else on the menu! (P.S. I'd post a picture but I ate everything before I got the chance)
