Unfortunately the pub was not open on the days we were there so this is only about our stay in the cabin. In short it was the highlight of our trip. The wonderful porches allowed us to spend lots of time outside. The view is breathtaking of the valley with the mountains in the distance. At night we watched a display of lightning in the distance and of lightning bugs in the foreground. During the day we enjoyed watching two storms under the protection of the overhanging roofs. Inside the cabin was well designed and appointed. Fully equipped with lots of nice touches. Everything was great.

Trivia nights on Thursday are the best fun and there's a special pub menu with fresh, homemade wraps, Reubens, egg rolls, burgers, an amazing cheese & fruit platter! Dave & Paula are fantastic hosts on the weekends, too, offering a more "gourmet" menu ..stuffed pork chops, local Angus steaks, chicken cordon Bleu! Lots more, great food and great prices. I'm a town local so I haven't stayed in the B&B or the cabin but I've seen them...nicest in the area. You'll love this gem!

Absolutely delicious!! We stayed 2 nights in town and ate there both nights. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the salmon melted in your mouth and the chicken cordon bleu was really good.

This is such a charming place that is not too far from Snowshoe where my friend and I skied for a few days. It is much more affordable than staying at snowshoe and the owners are so friendly! We stayed on the top floor and it was very spacious/clean/cozy. We especially loved the homemade breakfast each morning. It was fantastic and such a treat! Paula even had gluten-free bread for my friend and I which was a nice surprise. One day she even made us gluten-free French toast which I haven’t had in years. That was such a kind gesture. I will definitely stay here again in the future if I go to snowshoe. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a weekend while we went skiing at Snowshoe. The place was fantastic. It was cozy, very homey and very comfortable. The owners were super welcoming and easy to deal with. We didn't get to eat breakfast on Saturday because we left early that morning to go to Snowshoe. It was about a 45 minute drive to the slopes. When we came back, they were making dinner and it smelled amazing. I wished we had eaten dinner with them as well. We got up the next morning and they were preparing breakfast. We sat down and they served us a wonderful breakfast and we got to talk about the history of the place with Paula. It was a great place to stay at a very reasonable rate. We will definitely be back as I come skiing here often.
