I worked in Middlebourne for six months and stayed in an apartment next to Barb's and it was amazing homemade food, old Southern style atmosphere, and awesome service all at a low price.
I spent 18 months working in Middlebourne. There were 2 places to eat near the courthouse. Barbs was not as updated as the other establishment, but she had good noon specials and when you left the place, you did not smell like a deep fat fryer. Price are good (we told her she was too cheap). Fast service, with Barb usually handling the waitress duties. I swear that woman can carry 5 plates of food at once. Nothing fancy about the place or Barb. Just good food and good company, both a hard to find item these days. Don't forget to get a piece of homemade pie when you are there!
