Fish Hawk Acres

Great cafe and market. As a celiac I was super impressed to see house baked gluten-free bread - was delicious. Will certainly return, but as a vegan, it would be nice to see at least one plant based sandwich. Even as a vegetarian, the only veggie sandwich was heavy with cheeses and mayo.

As always a great meal was had. Today I tried their new breakfast menu. I went with the 3 egg omelet with everything you can imagine thrown in. The omelet was great, but the biscuit was the star of the show. An absolute Appalachian tradition. I think they could open a restaurant centered around this biscuit!

If you miss breakfast, don't worry there are tons of great lunch options.

In addition to delicious lunch and dinner selections, now Fish Hawk has breakfast. My husband had the 3 egg omlet and biscuit, and I had a combo with 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuit. The biscuit was a giant!

This restaurant does lots of take out orders, but a small number can be seated to eat there. They have a regular menu offered every day, but also have lunch and dinner specials each day which are published for the month. Dinner specials range from $8.99 to $16.99 for some fish entrees. Lunch specials are $7.99 to $10.99 and could be a sandwich or some type of salad bowl. Everyday items include sandwiches, some of which are available in whole or half size.

While there you can pick up tempting baked items including sweet rolls and desserts, or buy fresh produce and prepackaged items from the cooler.

Fish Hawk is a very friendly place with a great small town atmosphere. I appreciate the lighting which is adequate to see your food, but subdued. It would not bother me if I was having a migraine.

Love it! Crabby Patty burger was awesome! Cuban Burger too and Jamie loved the soda so much he had to save the bottle. LoL! Glad to see everyone their, Jon and Dale etc...it's great!
