Gyro King Parkersburg

This is a hidden gem! Located across from the Unity Cafe in downtown, this tiny spot hosts wonderful flavors! I personally only had the Moroccan Hummus and Cheesecake, but I regretted neither. The hummus had black beans blended in with the chickpeas and tahini. On top there was a nice spicy sauce. The cheesecake is homemade, not frozen and thawed out. The man who runs the place has a great charm to him.

My only criticism would be is that there is a bit of a wait to the food. He makes everything fresh, so this "criticism" is merely a mention to any possible customers expecting quick service. But, if you're patient, the food is WELL worth the wait!

The owner is very friendly, and the food is phenomenal. The area is small, but the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I had the shawarma as a sandwich, and the cheesecake-both of which are worth coming back for. If you want to try some great food, I highly recommend coming here

I did not order but my friend did who us from Cleveland and has had trouble finding anything as authentic as this place in Parkersburg. He loved it and we will be repeat customers. There is a great selection.

The owner is a very friendly guy. The place is cozy. The food is presented nicely with a selection of Gyros, as well as Mediterranean and Moroccan favorites. The owner described his food as striving for a Mediterranean and Californian fusion in that he uses fresh vegetables and incorporates avocado an several of his dishes. That being said from what I gathered he will cater to the customers tastes as far as spice etc. Great place.
