The Blennerhassett Hotel

Had a wonderful stay here. Made a reservation for a brief stay over Thanksgiving, not knowing exactly what to expect, as we weren't at all familiar with Parkersburg. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were outstanding. Everyone was attentive and friendly, ready to help at any time. Our room was large and comfortable, with everything we needed. The bar and restaurant were very welcoming and the Thanksgiving buffet was first rate. Prices were incredibly reasonable for what they deliver. Old school class and elegance, a rare find!

I don't write many positive reviews of places (we all leave bad reviews when we're mad, right?) But the level of service at The Blennerhassett was phenomenal, driving me to write this review. The building is beautiful and has a lot of character. The rooms themselves are rooms clean, spacious, and well taken care of. The staff surprised us each day with how accommodating and friendly they were. We came to ghost hunt and we requested to switch rooms due to sharing an adjoining room with a wedding (too loud for our EVP recording) and they were more than happy to help and even sent a staff member to help us move. This is when we met Jimmy, the friendliest staff member. He shared ghost stories with us, history of the building, and gave us local recommendations. He was incredibly helpful and personable and made our stay a 10/10. We absolutely plan to stay here again. (Oh and the restaurant food is phenomenal!!!!)

This was literally the best hotel experience I've ever had. I have traveled extensively and this hotel is the perfect blend of bed and breakfast treatment with a boutique hotel feel. You can tell the staff love and are proud of their town and heritage. The rooms are clean, the brunch was delicious and every staff member we interacted with was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Everything about our stay was spectacular! The room was clean and spacious and if we needed anything, the staff was quick to provide it! I was using our time at the hotel to do some writing and I was able to comfortably work in the atrium space across from my room. Every staff member who passed by me was kind and friendly. The doorman, Mike, was pleasant and each time we passed by he put a smile on my face with a light joke or friendly remark.
Special compliments to the restaurant staff, Becky and Chef Patt. The service in the restaurant was fantastic and the food was excellent! Sad that we are missing their amazing brunch this weekend, but hoping we can get back again to enjoy it another time.
