Been stopping there for years.
I'm heading from Akron Ohio to West Virginia.
It's the first stop south of the border.
The welcome center is there also.
Friendly people and good food reasonably priced
This is a cozy little restaurant that serves homestyle meals. Think Cracker Barrel, but smaller. The food is good, but the portions are often too small, in my opinion. I usually leave still hungry (but then again, I can be a big eater).
Wait staff seats and serves the customers at your choice of table or booth, and the service has always been good when I've been there. It's located right off the Interstate and has a large parking lot, so accessibility is good.
The breakfasts are great and it's a nice place for business dinners between two to four people. The desserts are amazing, but you might want to skip them if you're on a diet.
About a year ago, they had a special anniversary promotion where they offered select items at 1970s prices, which was really cool. If you're passing through and want to try some typical Appalachian dishes in a relaxed setting, give the Dutch Pantry a try.
A small and very cute little place! The food was good, although it was slow to get out to us. They were not busy at all. We are going back soon. Look at how cozy this place is!
I stop here for breakfast only, rarely dinner. So I'm hesitant to give it a higher rating based on breakfast alone. But the food is just very good. Bacon crisp but not burned. Sausage patties large and moist. Pancakes are the best in the area. Eggs done to order. Iced tea is fresh. Service is great. Good arrives quickly. And the desserts certainly look inviting.
