ScareCrow Pizza

Holy c--p is this some good food. Had a veggie ciabatta. The sauce: ++++++. The bread: ! Both made on site. Would knock a half star off for slowness of service - though we (2) were the only ones in the place. Would suggest maybe getting just a bit surly to speed thing up? (Oh, and the owner/proprietor is very chatty and quite charming.)

In Bayfield from Mpls for the weekend and stopped in Washburn for ordered takeout - Works pizza and garlic cheese bread. WOW was I blown away by the quality. I was skeptical right away because when one of the owners came out to the car to talk while it was finishing up he told us the crust was sourdough ... I hate sourdough. But fear NOT my friends, this crust was perfect. All of the ingredients were top notch, especially the sausage. The cheese bread (usually a grease bomb filler) was nearly as good as the pizza. The ciabatta was the perfect platform and the garlic and cheese were well balanced.

Learned later (sadly) that there's also a "good works" pizza where you get the Works and a donation gets made locally. We'll be ordering that going forward. And we'll be ordering a LOT. Oh, but one small thing - please start offering a dinner salad!

Had the pepperoni and sausage pizza and was really pleased with the whole thing. The crust, the sauce, the cheese, the meat - it was all delicious! Will definitely be ordering from ScareCrow again!

Seriously unexpectedly delicious. I really hope this place thrives, because they deserve it. My husband and I ordered a cheese pizza, and every part of it tasted fresh and homemade. Honestly, it's a bit of a hike for us to go to Washburn for anything, but we'll probably make the trip when we have a hankering for pizza.

Innovative place. Healthy signature pizza. When pandemic allows them to do more than curbside, it is quite a place!
