I was just there to do a wine tasting as a sous chef but they treated me like family. Such an inspiring place. Can't wait till I work there again.
We attended the K Point beer pairing dinner this past Labor Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the experience. As traditional, we traveled from suburban Chicago to visit area relatives over Labor Day and we were excited to see this event on the farm's calendar. We had attended Burger Nights previously and this was our first pairing event at Together Farms. The setting for the evening was ideal; pleasant weather (a bonus), tastefully decorated dinner table (plants/flowers from the farm), an eclectic assortment of dining chairs, and the sounds and smells of a farm. The food was creative, flavorful and expertly prepared and presented. Hard to go wrong with K Point beer and Chef William thoughtfully paired the beers with the various courses. High fives to the Chef and his staff for the evening! As much as the food/drinks, we enjoyed host/owner Stephanie's between course stories/information sessions about the food, the farm and, of course, the dogs. Who knew how hard the dogs worked to protect their livestock charges?! Our table companions, who we just met that evening, were great fun and we learned much from them as well-especially about life with goats! The only negative about this place-it's 300 miles from our home!
One of the best burgers I've ever had. Cheese curds were awesome. Friendly people. Nice scenery. Definitely stopping there whenever I'm in that area again.
Beautiful views and great food. I had the Barn Burner burger and cheese curds. Both were excellent and delicious. My nephew, his girlfriend and I were there for a mushroom foray event. We walked part of the property, foraging for many varieties of mushrooms and listened to talks with the guides who were experts on mushrooms and knowledgeable on other plants. Overall the owners and staff were super friendly and the farm was a great place to slow down and enjoy the peaceful country views. Reasonably priced drinks at the tavern on site. Good, fresh food was a little pricey, but really tasty and locally produced ingredients. Chickens, cows, sheep and pigs were in the fields and you can feed any leftovers, should you have any to the pigs...they will come running! There were also several games to play and plenty of seating in the pavilion, the covered pond pier, outside near the pond and around the fire pit.
Our family absolutely love this place! This was the 4th time we've visited and each time we've been equally impressed. Such a relaxing atmosphere, GREAT FOOD and AWESOME people. The animals and playground set keeps the kiddos entertained while the adults can sit back and enjoy...couldn't recommend this place enough!!!
