The Red Ox Seafood and Steakhouse

I have ate here twice now and both times were wonderful! Both times I got the tenderloin and potato skins and it was cooked perfectly. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer is also fantastic! My friends and wife love the haddock, you can get it cooked many ways!
This past time I took my wife for her birthday and our waitress, Hannah, saw the card I got for her and surprised us by bringing out a peice of cake with a candle for her! Thank you so much for these wonderful experiences!

Supper club atmosphere, and they do it right... First off, they make their own blue cheese dressing. Second, their barbecued ribs are on point. I saw my mother in law deal with over half a rack yesterday, and she's usually more like a quarter rack gal... Third? Pulled pork of the gods. Fourth, they make their own chicken Cordon Bleu, and it's juicy and delicious... Fifth, steak (duh), and all the accoutrements, including fried potato skins instead of crust streak fries. There may be a better streak joint at home, but I want to bring some of this back to Madison with me...

Delighted by both the quality and quantity of the food. Price was high but well worth it. Our party had fried shrimp, prime rib, and BBQ ribs. All was delicious and the service was excellent.

When I first visited Wisconsin a few years ago this was the first supper club I ever visited. I have been back a few times since moving up here and took my buddy here last night for his first supper club experience. All the times I have visited I have always sat at the bar as they have 1/2 price appetizers which lets you save money and spend more on drinks.

Drinks- They make amazing drinks. They have never had an issue making a drink I have requested. That being said, you should definitely get an Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule while you are here. They also usually have a special cocktail that is on the chalkboard and they usually are delicious as well.

Food- The food here is fantastic. While I have mainly had their appetizers, I haven't had any food I didn't like. Speaking of appetizers, these are some of the best appetizers you can get anywhere. If you sit at the bar, lounge, or outside you can take advantage of the 1/2 price deal and easily make a meal out of them with a few selected. You can also share with a friend and get a wide variety of filling and delicious foods.

Price- This is actually a very good price for the quality of service and food that you get. We ordered 4 filling appetizers and 5 cocktails and our total was under $50.

Service- Service was fantastic. Every employee was friendly and they never rushed us to get out.

If you want a great supper club, this one is definitely one of the best in the area. I will continue to visit this place and bring out of town guests who have not been to a supper club before as its a good one for a first one.
