Herradura Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

Nice to have such amazing food available in Chilton. Chips & salsa are delicious. Meals are filling & soooooo good (especially this burrito that I got several meals out of! Yum).

We stopped there for the first time in mid January 2023. We ordered the Bandera burrito I believe it was called. It was good but not great. It needed more of a kick. The plate it was served in was too large, and the tortilla didn't need to be as large as it was - the ends of it were soaked since all of the filling was in the middle. I think it was presented as being larger than it was. Don't worry about that. I thought the burrito needed to be hotter with a stronger flavor. Hot sauces are needed as well - a homemade green and red one in squirt bottles would be great. Please don't dumb the dishes down due to the Wisconsin audience. Go bold and surprise us. We don't just want another generic Mexican place. Shrink down the menu and focus on exceptional items. As a side note, we both smelled like oil and grease when we left the place - it's all over our clothes. Ventilation issue? Not sure.

We will come back and try different items each time. We want to see the place succeed since it would be great to have a solid Mexican joint in Chilton. Thank you for starting up this business and working at it. We hope it does well. I wanted to give feedback since I would want to know as the business owner and/or cook.

Oh my gosh! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! I am originally from San Diego and am of Hispanic decent, and this food was so extremely close to the food we get whenever we visit California. However after visiting Herradura, I can't tell which I liked better, the service or the food! Everything was absolutely delicious and came out so fast, plus everything was very reasonably priced. And the entire staff was so friendly. I'm confident this is now our new favorite place to eat! Thank you!

First off let me say when it comes to restaurants I dont often give 5 star reviews, I have to really like the place to do so. That being said this place was great. The staff was very friendly, and the food..... Wow it was awsome! The burrito that I got was HUGE (the picture does not do it justice) and it was so good. The prices were extremely reasonable (cheaper than other near by Mexican restaurants). To sum things up if you are looking for Mexican food this place has better food and better prices. I will definitely be going back.

Hands Down, the BEST Mexican restaurant. From the friendly and helpful service, warm chips and fresh salsa served to you when you sit down, to the excellent pricing for the amount of food you get--it's excellent. We've been there twice in the last month since they opened. The place is clean, the atmosphere is cultural and bright, service was fast, tons of options on the menu, and the FLAVOR of all our meals were superb. We love having a little piece of "Mexicó" in our little town of Chilton!
