Service was good and we were greated promptly. Food was really good for a town with two places to eat. Bathrooms are tiny. I'd definitely go here again.

2nd visit.. not as happy. Ordered a chicken Philly sandwich and was given chicken and a bun..... no toppings or anything else and wasn't compensated for their mistake. Very unfortunate and disappointing.. nothing like paying 9+ dollars for chicken and bread and having the staff member admit to their mistake... Hopefully the third visit goes better

3rd. My lady ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap.. was given a BLT wrap.. my BBQ burger was good.

Pleasantly surprised by the food! The fried mushrooms are perfectly done. The prime rib on Saturday is great - and a ton of food! Fish fry is also excellent. The burgers are good.

Their Thursday special is about a rack of ribs that is absolutely to die for. And it comes with a side of fries.

Visiting Black Earth from out of town, and wanted a non chain lunch. 50/50 choice, we picked the Shack. Bartender was friendly, and lunch was tasty and affordable. Ham sandwich tasty real ham and onion rings yummy. Great little stop. Definitely better than expected for a bar and grill.

Had the Shack Daddy burger and the mushroom Swiss burgers. Both were better than standard bar burgers, what you'd hope for. Big enough to fill you up and juicy enough to get both hands dirty. Thumbs up. Solid cheese curds and waffle fries as well.
