1855 Saloon and Grill

Have never had a bad dining experience here. beautiful patio during the summer months. Last visit, food was very good as always, and drinks on point. Bartender was fun and talkative as well. We will definitely be back soon!

Tonight we had our daughters rehearsal dinner at 1855. We were a large group about 30 people. The staff and service was great. The menu was brisket, baked chicken , roasted Brussel sprouts, glazed carrots mixed salad, rolls and berries and whipped cream. The food was excellent. The brisket was top shelf. It was a great experience. Hats off to 1855!

They have good food especially for the area. Cottage Grove is a bit out of the way from Madison and I wouldn't recommend going out that way just for this restaurant but the staff are nice and the food is decent. That makes it worth stopping in for a drink and something to eat if you're in the area.

Nachos are worth it for a good sized group and probably more than enough for a main meal. Burgers and sandwiches are all pretty decent. Nothing will blow you away but the bar bumps it up a notch.

Great Mother's Day bruch. Very impressed with food and service. Great Sunday morning service period.

I stopped for lunch and my sandwich was good. The staff was very friendly but not obtrusive. I enjoyed looking at the old pictures and learning some history of the building.
