“Tucked away north of Madison. I was there for a one day conference. This was a very cold day. I am not well acquainted with Country Clubs period. This is only the second I've been to. It has indoor tennis courts, space for events, wedding receptions. The room we were in was fairly comfortable in the morning but got progressively cooler. And the screen for presentations, power points or something about it was reflecting and could barely be read. There were many slides which were indistinguishable to me. Hard to take in new information on a serious topic when you can't read them. The catered lunch was ok, nothing special. Ladies rest room was a bit of a walk down the hall but well appointed”

“Had an awesome evening at this fine establishment! One of my must have for a successful evening is a friendly, outgoing wait staff. Cara hit a home run in that department. Allowed us to be slow and yet very attentive. The food was the best. Love the firecracker shrimp and baked French onion soup. Our main entrées were perfect. My steak was done to perfection. And their asparagus is always grilled just right. Their special dessert of bread pudding was out of this world.....I consider myself a specialist on bread pudding! Who ever thought to use croissants as the bread source! It made something I already enjoy to a rating of over the top !! Did not want the evening and fine service to end!!”

“As a big fan of "Chicago" style gyros, Athens Grill has really exceeded my expectations of what they should taste like. I had a brief conversation with an employee and found out that they use 80% lamb in their gyro meat that is made in house. Absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend not only the gyros but the wings as well.”

“This dining experience was excellent! I was immediately made to feel welcomed by both the owner and my bartender. Their house wine selections, which were on "happy hour" pricing, were all amazing. My king crab legs were also on special and absolutely delectable. But, as much as I love, love, love crab, I'm compelled to admit that the hollandaise sauce on my tender, flavorful asparagus stole the show. Digestion of my meal is barely underway and already I can't wait for my next visit to Mariner's Inn.”

“Went for the Sunday buffet. Lots of offerings however food was old and over cooked. Staff was helpful but overwhelmed. Forgot what we ordered and kept coming back to ask what we ordered. They were very nice though. The Clam chowder is soooo good and the mini cream puffs things were awesome.”

“Renee is such a sweet person. And made our late lunch such a pleasure. Great wings (definitely try the Murphy sauce) and classic beer selections. Friendly people, good food. Exactly the place you want to hang out on the regular. I'm embarrassed it took me two years of driving by to actually come in.”
