“We stopped for some food, using old info on Google indicating a biergarten. The biergarten is kaput for this summer, but Deer Run has a good menu of choices. We had pulled pork sandwiches, which were delicious. The indoor seating area is small, but, they do have outdoor seating. There's a huge lawn on the Main Road side, so if you need a place where your kids can run around a bit while you wait for food, this could be your place. There is also mini-golf. Jordan served us and even had time to share tips on her favorite places on the island. She was just one of many truly friendly people on Washington Island. It may have been the weekend before Memorial Day, so everyone is fresh and ready to go, but I think Washington Island people seem extra nice.”

“Had a fun experience here with the Owner, Chip. Super friendly. Enjoyed some delicious ice cream (Toasted Marshmallow was sooo delicious!!!), Root Beer floats, Minocqua Lemon Bar Puffs, etc. Known for its gourmet popcorn!! Also,serves Pizza which looked yummy!! “Absolutely fantastic! We were only in town a couple days and when we came here for breakfast our first day we knew we NEEDED to come back for our second morning as well. The breakfast burritos were delicious - I had the veggie and my husband had the classic. Both were so fresh and flavorful! We also each got a pastry for the road, which were again perfection. I wish we could have tried everything in the bakery case! Everyone was so genuinely friendly, and their patio out back was cozy, clean, and an ideal spot to start our day. 10/10 will be back next time we’re in town!”

“While visiting the park, my husband and I found Sergio's Mexican Street Food Truck. We decided to try it out and it did not disappoint! The steak and chicken tacos were both juicy and delicious. The lime helped give it a kick. The avocado sauce was perfect for the chicken. We would definitely go back! My only hope is they start offering some sort of drinks soon, too! Currently, they do not sell water, bottles drinks or made to order drinks. Would love to see this added!”

“We went to Blue Bear twice for breakfast. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend you check it out. I had the Blue Bear Benedict which was so good that I craved it the second time we went. The shredded ham, that topped the potato pancake, was such an incredible pair; but then adding the brilliant combination of the poached egg, Gouda cheese sauce, and caramelized onions was out of this world. I loved everything about this farm-to-table experience and will certainly be back on our next trip north. Thank you for a great experience!”

“My wife and I had brunch here every day we were in Door County. As a result, we tasted most of the things on the menu. There wasn't anything we didn't like. The food and portions were very tasty and good, respectively; the staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. My wife really enjoyed the desserts and other people did too, as many times they were sold out. The outdoor patio (mostly shaded by umbrellas or trees) was very enjoyable: one can see a lot of interesting "traffic" go in and out of Peninsula state park as well as some very cute and well behaved pets.”
