Great cheap burritos for those with the late night munchies. Small bar with all your basics. Located in a great location right on waterstreet, this is a must visit if you're in Eau Claire for a late night on the town.
Food has always been great everytime I've been there. My family loves to eat there whenever they come to visit. Fantastic prices and equally as fantastic food. I cannot give enough praise to El Pat.
You can't beat a 6$ burrito. Mild or spicy you will never leave disappointed. Easily the best place to get food on Water St.
Excellent place for great Mexican food. If you want a nice sit down restaurant, the options are great. If you want a quick, inexpensive but filling meal, they have burritos available for about $6 with options for different salsa inside. In general, I recommend this place highly for its flexibility, and definitely recommend the burritos to college students that need something to continue studying with no time for sit down.
I visited on 02-14-2019 at about 2:45pm for the first time. I had a little confusion in the two names "El Patio" & "Burrito Express" forcing me to drive around the block twice until I figured it out.
They are also confusing in the lack of any identity in which door to use. The front door just seems like it is for apartments upstairs with nothing that would invite me into the restaurant.
My table service was good. I order a lunch special which was good overall in quality & quantity along with free chips & salsa.
I ordered a single steak burrito ($6.00) to go and later discovered I received a steak & chicken burrito instead. It was tasty, but lacked the SIZE I require for making it a meal in itself.
I'm used to your average burrito purchased in the Chicago area where you receive a burrito that's at least 50% bigger for about $6.00 - $8.00.
I intend to come again, but I will be checking out the competition in the area to hopefully find a larger burrito at a fair price to suit my expectations.
