I got the Big Chungus sandwich. As far as I can tell, it's the most expensive sandwich on the menu. There's a reason. That sandwich has the most meat I have ever seen piled on a single sandwich in my life. If you're Subway, Jay Ray's Big Chungus is the sandwich she told you not to worry about. It is an incredible sandwich and an incredible amount of food. 10/10 would eat as my only meal of the day again.
I have had Jay Ray's for lunch 8 times in the last 10 days.
I always order "the kickflip" bbq chips and a coke. Today I walked in to the wonderful smell of Italian beef. They had been running a special on the classic Chicago sandwich.
By the time I had gotten into my truck I had already peeled most of the au jus soaked work of art from its paper.
I have litterally been thinking of Jay Ray's sando's since early afteroon, and I will be back for lunch, just about every day from here on out.
These owners know what they're doing.

Incredible sandwiches! No surprise — the Red Coal Family is a good one!
First time going, and it definitely won't be my last. When I went, some of the meats were not in, but that mattered very little to my experience. The sandwiches are built on quality bread, with high quality ingredients. Nothing about my experience with the sandwiches was subpar. I had the chili, and it was thick like a nicely cooked chili should be. As for dessert, we had a oatmeal cookie whoopee pie and a brownie. Rich and delicious. Highly recommended to anyone still searching for the perfect sandwiches. You will walk away full and happy.
I’ve never rated anything on google reviews...Lol. Best sandwich in town for sure! Very respectful staff as well.
