Northern Tap House - Eau Claire

I was with a group of 11 eating out for lunch and they mustn't get very busy around noon because it seemed like they were not very prepared. I do suppose they could have had new employees working that day or someone call in sick and that is the reason for the slow service. Our party came in 2 groups, the first group showed up about 20 min before the second and ordered drinks and put their food order in right away. Everyone got the special (chicken wings). It took all of 10 minutes for the waiter to get 2 beers and 3 waters. When the second group showed up, they did the same thing, everyone ordered wings. We waited for our food for about 1 hour and it finally came. It was obvious that mine had been sitting for a while as it was cold, and so were a few others food. I will say, the wings were still pretty good. I will be eating here again because I believe my mediocre experience was a mishap and I'm excited to try the food when it's hot and I receive it in a reasonable time frame.

Great wood fired pizza. My craving has been satisfied. My margurita (sic) pizza was spectacular. Some very expensive beers. I'm talking $1 per ounce. And I did not like my choice at all. I was not offered a substitute.

I hope this one makes it! It’s a great location and it holds a lot of people so the potential is there. I’m not sure why so many other places have failed there... but this one is good

Service was great. Lots of TVs for sports. Tons of seating and not crowded. And the food was great. I always get wings at a new places because that’s my favorite food and if those are bad I won’t go back. Theirs are good! Everything our table ordered was great!

We will be going back often!

Great service. Pretzel bites are awesome! The pizza was good. It would be great if they brought it out on something other than a large dinner plate. Crust got soggy.

Went to their all you can eat fish fry, slightly disappointed. A couple pieces were really fishy and the coleslaw was definitely old (no one was eating it. I tried one bite and it tasted like soggy expired lettuce.) The fries were really tasty. The tartar sauce was good and so was service. Probably would return but not for the fish fry. The seasoning was not to my tastes. The garlic bread was basic frozen garlic bread toasted. Tasty but nothing I can't make at home.
