Amazing food and great service. Warm friendly atmosphere with outside dining available.
Coming from Texas and seeing a Tex-Mex place around was intriguing, and I was more appreciative of the Wisconsin twists they put on Tex-Mex then the actual authenticity. A fun twist on what I know and love, which made a hearty, filling, heavy lunch. Remember to bring cash or some way to use the ATM within, as it's required. My waiter was really nice and very quick.
This place is fabulous, and I've never been disappointed by anything in their menu. Wait staff is always wonderful, and the chef and his wife are wonderful people. If you stop by I recommend the Deacon with a side of their awesome Mac and cheese!
There are three things you need to know about Pancho and Lefty's Outlaw Grill before you go. #1 Cash only (the staff even has this printed on their shirts), they do have an ATM inside for convenience.
#2 Space is limited, they do have outdoor seating available but don't count on it, this is the Midwest and weather is subject to change. You may have to wait.
#3 The food at Pancho and Lefty's is amazing.
The atmosphere inside is fun and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the food is out of this world. We opened with fried pickles, which were crisp without being over-breaded, served with Sriracha sauce and a cucumber sauce. I had the Spicy Steak Burrito that had tender and juicy cuts of steak and just the right amount of heat. My wife had the saucy delight that was their Pulled Pork Sandwich. To top it off, we shared there Bread Pudding and that was a pure decadent chocolate out of body experience. If you're in Monroe, eat here!
Places with menus as varied as Pancho's usually dont do any of the items well. But at Pancho's everything is good. Everything. The vibe is cozy but active. Limited capacity so my have to wait a bit for a table. All the staff we had was super helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Not a beer and cheese place like the rest of Monroe. A good change of pace.
