Friendly staff, clean facilities/bathroom, and they carry the Chocolate Shoppe’s Ice Creme!

Service was amazing.. Food is great. Prime rib was absolutely awesome.. best I’ve had in a long time.

My fiance and I are up here for a job, and we spend a lot of time at the hixton travel plaza. It's probably one of the best business is I've ever been to. The Associates are super friendly, the restaurant has decent food, and as any trucker will tell you , they have the best showers on the road. Seriously, the best showers on the road. They have three shower heads Plus a detachable shower head, for a total of four shower heads! And all of them get it hot or cold as you want them. If you come in after 6 oh, you'll probably be able to eavesdrop on a conversation or two between the truckers and they'll tell you that this is one of the best stops they make. It's great for rvers too! I happen to come across one of these conversations, and the trucker's told me that this is even the best gas they can find oh, they say they get about 20% better fuel mileage from it, and in the winter, when it's 40 below and the trucks don't want to do anything, they'll still start on Hixton gas. It's also a great stop for tourists and photo-ops. There's a cute picnic table set up right outside the store and they have Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, which is of course the best ice cream in the world, and a photo op with this giant trout. There's great grassy areas for taking the dogs out for some exercising and potty. And it's a small town so it's pretty safe

Truck parking is available. I traveled here from Texas and the best food I thought could only come from Cracker Barrel. The service was great and the atmosphere was so calm and welcoming. Great service. Fantastic food. My dad had been waiting weeks for a perfect meatloaf and he finally had it here. I had the Andy's big dumb burger and got damb was it fantastic.
