The food was really good here BUT the workers lack any sense of urgency. There was about 5 parties in the store and orders were coming out once every 5-9 minutes. We waited about 17 minutes for our food. The two trash cans by the front door are overflowing with bags even some on top. The condiment bar trash can is also overflowing all tables were disgusting when we walked in and another customer even left this lovely note for them!

The manager was barking orders while I was ordering then switched with another employee mid order. Food was good if the burger had a little seasoning it would have been perfect. We were there about 1230, theybopen at 11am and the ketchup was empty. One employee who I think was motivated on the clock, but in uniform was there eating and barged in front of me 2x. Overall good experience but a little manners go a long way.

First time going to Five Guys, so my experience is based on a first impression. - The burger I ordered was good, they have lots of options for toppings at no extra cost. Service at the register was decent, but the people working on the food in my mind were below standards. It seemed like there were quite a few people behind the counter, but not a lot of activity or productivity to get orders out.

No combo options. If you want a burger, fries and drink, then you have to buy each separately, that'll take a person easily to the $20/person range, which seems excessive for a fast food restaurant. Lunch or dinner at Culver's for the two of us usually is about $20-21 and that includes burgers, fries and drink. Another perspective we ate at Texas Roadhouse the day before and we could do steak dinner options for a cheaper price than what Five Guys does for a dinner or lunch option.

Also it seemed like it took awhile to get our food. Now I realize it just opened a few months ago, but for the amount of people working behind the register, and the seemingly low amount of people ordering in the store...I felt like this place would get overwhelmed during a lunch hour rush. Also maybe take a lesson from that chicken place next door that just opened up. Those guys are friendly, fast, and still deliver a quality product while maintaining competitive prices.

Lastly, my opinion the extra toppings for burger options are at no extra charge, but it seemed to me that the individual cost for each type of burger is what it should cost if it came with the works, not just the plain sandwich. So while the no charge on extra toppings is nice, they make up for it by overpricing burgers to begin with.

My dad and I stopped here on our way out of La Crosse after we finished packing up my daughter's stuff and moving her back home for the summer from college. He'd never been there so I thought it'd be a good time to have him give it a try. He really liked the food but almost couldn't finish his burger; his order was almost exactly the same as mine, which was a Cheeseburger ( which, in Five Guy's lingo, is a double ), some fries and a drink. As with every time I've eaten at one of these restaurants, the food was HEAVENLY and I left the place groggy and nearly in a food coma. 😉👍 On top of the excellent food, the employees were all in a good mood, the restaurant was clean and tidy and the bathroom was in very good shape.

You seriously need to hit Five Guys if you haven't done so already. The food isn't what I would consider to be cheap ( but what is nowadays ? ) but it's certainly quite tasty.
