Late's

Nice little local tradition. Great prices. Great atmosphere.

Oh Late's, how I love thee.
There's just something about old-style diner food that just brings out the best in ya.
From their award-winning (I'm not kidding) cheese curds, to a coleslaw that is literal perfection, all the way over to desserts that will knock your socks off, Late's is probably my favorite place in Manitowoc.
The inside of the diner feels like it's still stuck in that greasy spoon era, and that just adds to the charm of it. Pictures of the history of Manitowoc line the walls, adding to the atmosphere.
I have yet to find something on their menu that I do not like. I cannot recommend Late's enough!

It's a burger that brings back memories. Been coming here for 30 years, and it is a solid burger! Nice people, nice staff. Clean place. I like the new addition too.

A nice back step to the past. The little ma and pa feel to the place. They say award winning cheese curd, but there was nothing awarding about them. More like a disappointment. The shakes are good. The prices are cheap, and for that it shows in the quality of their food. You could get better up the road at Cedar Crest. But for a step back and live in the old days for a bit good spot.
