It's a nice place great food friendly staff I know the family Todd,Rick and his family, I would go to spend time and money!!
Pleasant service with quick and prompt service. Server was able to engage with us on are travel conversation and add important needed information. Easley accommodate are party of 5 adults and 2 under 5.
Lightly breaded perch that are fantastic. Equivalent or better to Outpost or Wishing Well in the Appleton area. Just off of 29 and worth the stop!
Ps, fish fry 7 days a week.
Why was I charged a 99 cent service fee?
I visited this restaurant at the recommendation of a colleague who is good friends with the owner. I had heard great things about the food and Friday fish fry. Just having moved to town, I thought I'd try a new restaurant. The meal was decent. I had a fish sandwich and potato salad with a lemonade to drink. Service was decent. The bill came to just over $8.00, but to my surprise I was also charged a service charge of 99 cents which brought my bill to $9.36. why? I still left a $2.00 tip because I believe in tipping for decent service. However, I do not think service fees should be added to my bill unless I come with a large group which would then be common practice among most restaurants. I planned to use this restaurant for my organization's board retreat, but a simple 99 cent service fee blew that. It is the principle. As I mentioned the service was decent, but I sure did get the looks and stares from customers. Not one spoke but all of them stared. I found that odd and uncomfortable.
Best place in the world. Delicious food and great drinks. The entire staff is friendly and amazing at what they do. The prices can’t be be beat. 2 dollar burgers every Tuesday and fish fry available any day of the week not just Fridays. The owners Todd and Peggy are two of the kindest people you could meet. If you’re looking for a spot that has it all look no further then the whiskey river. Truly a home away from home.
