On our way to another pasta restaurant we were stopped at a red light in front of Lisa's Pizza. Since we did not have reservations at the other place my wife said why not just eat here. There was a parking spot right in front so I had no excuse. What a fortunate red light. Lisa's is great and on our "will be back list." In fact we placed it higher than that other pasta place. The service was quick but not too quick. Food was fresh and tasty. We both ordered pasta which came with salad and bread. I could simply go down the menu on each successive visit until I have ordered everything,it all looked so good. Portions were large enough to require two take home Styrofoam cartons. My only complaint, I wish they would find a more environmentally friendly container for left overs. Next time we will try the pizza, they looked so good passing by I had to retrain myself from grabbing a piece. Best of all we spent less than we would have at that other pasta restaurant.
The best "hole in the wall" pizza joint in Milwaukee. Recently renovated, but didn't lose any of its charm. Still has the best jukebox too. Been going there since the 80s. Always a good time.
The appetizers were delicious and the pizza was the best I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was nice and our server was awesome and had a sense of humor. I will definitely make this pizzeria a regular place of order when I have a taste for pizza.
We finally found our favorite Milwaukee pizza place! And everyone we've brought to Lisa's agrees. Great crust and sauce, plus my fussy husband really likes their sausage and pepperoni... really tasty and not too spicy. Good root beer too.
It's pricey, but totally worth it. The setting is very nice, overlooking Oakland street. As a lone diner, I found that the people around me did not interfere with my experience-the spaciousness and orientation of the room allowed me to enjoy my meal in peace. The server was quick and friendly, even boxing up my food at the end when I wanted it to go. The large pizza I ordered was amazing, with tons of tasty toppings and delicious, at that. I definitely plan on coming again!
