Mae Velma's Corned Beef

One of the best places in town for Corned Beef. Service and quality is consistently top notch. I always try to stop by whenever I am in the area. The Corned Beef sandwich grilled with swiss and brown mustard is my favorite.

I went last night and had a not so satisfying encounter, which I understand things happen. I took the order back today and the owners were so upset at the quality of what I was given and apologetic for the occurrence. I have gone a few other times and the food is always good, it just so happened we went late on someone's not so good night. But the fact that they fixed the problem with no issues and were sincere in fixing the situation meant a lot! I support this company because just because 1 out of 10 times visiting I have a bad experience the quality of food overall and the compassion behind the company makes it all worth it.

I had the Combo # 2. The 3 piece jumbo wings and 3 piece Ocean Perch. Let me start with the Ocean Perch it was really good especially since I didn't have to smell up my house with it. Now the jumbo wings - they were not jumbo. The Combo included an abundance of french fries and 2 slices of bread. The Combo was actually pretty good and more than enough. One more thing, the food is prepared to order. So it's freshly cooked and hot.

It was very good not great. I will be traveling back for another I'm sure it will get better.
It could have been the Saturday rush that made the difference in the flavor. But the wait was to long.
