Everything here is good! We used to live right down the street and since we've moved, we miss it so much! Our favorites are the gyro, grilled chicken sandwich, & icecream.
Stop recently at Golden Gyros. They have been open for over 30 years. I have been going there for at least 24 to 25 years. The custard and the Sundays are always out of this world good. The staff and the owners are always very friendly and helpful. They never give you a hard time if you have a special order on a food item or a dietary requirement. The Gyros are second are second-to-none in the city. Their hamburgers are big and delicious. The restaurant is impeccably clean every time I have gone. Absolutely no reason not to give them a try. Friendly reminder; they are cash only store. They do have an ATM inside the restaurant. They do not take credit cards. Weather permitting there is some outdoor seating in front of the restaurant and waiting bench inside.
Golden Gyros has been around since 1947, and their longevity is a testament to the quality and standards that they've held to this day. Nice place to eat, but no sit down service, just take out. Great food. Main entrees are generously portioned and delicious, as well as the sides (Try the onion rings, traditionally breaded and HUGE!). Nice variety of Greek and American selections. Takes a bit longer for food because they cook everything fresh, so call ahead to avoid the wait time. Prices are slightly higher than usual, but you get quality product for your money. The drive through is a nice touch, but expect to sometimes wait to be able to order if the place is busy, because of the fact that the food is all made fresh to order. Burgers are cooked only one temperature but still tender and juicy, and only with American as a cheese option. Not a deal breaker, as I order them almost every time I go there. Custards are made in-house, and on par with other custard places in town. Service is decent, and friendly. They are cash only, but have an ATM if all you have is a card handy. I recommend them as a must when you get a craving for Greek/American fare.
They always have good food. Never had an issue with that.
Have been going there for over 30 years.
Nice people.
One of the best quick stop places to either pick up, drive through or sit down. Their grilled cheese is out of this world (melted cheese on a hamburger bun). Also their ice cream... oh boy you could get in trouble with how rich and creamy it is. The owner makes his own chocolate ice cream so a little unique twist to the already fabulous menu!
