I loved the vibe from the moment I first walked in! Everyone who works here is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have gone to Oak barrel about 20 times and every single time I was not disappointed. I have sat at the bar or at a table and even now when bars and restaurants are struggling to get enough people on staff, the service is still amazing. I love that they take basic foods like a burger or pizza and make them very unique and flavorful. Hands down one of my favorite spots in downtown Milwaukee!
Stopped by for brunch this past weekend and was a fan of this spot. Large interior with a handful of tables available out front too. $18 for bottomless brunch is phenomenal bang for your buck as the servers definitely keep your glass full for the entire stay. Will be back!
Stopped in for a brunch date on Saturday and it was SUPER busy. The wait was shorter than the host initially said, but she did suggest we make a reservation in the future. They do $18 bottomless mimosas and they really do keep you glass full. The brunch was really good, I got chicken and waffles. The date went well too! I went back on a week night it was much more chill. Staff was cool and the pizza was really good.
Great food! Amazing bacon fat popcorn!! The pizza was amazing and I had this awesome really fresh drink that I loved. I wish I could remember what it was called. The service was really friendly and very quick even though they were slammed with the Bucks playoff games. The atmosphere was so lively and they even had this cool sign saying “Feed Me Jameson and Tell Me I’m Pretty.”
The mac and cheese here is phenomenal. Would not expect a place like this to have great mac and cheese but it will surprise you. Staff was all very friendly and quick to check in on us even with a Bucks game going on. Drinks are reasonably priced and so is food. Cool atmosphere inside the place too and they give you a bag of their delicious bacon fat popcorn to snack on before the meal. Highly recommend this place for a good meal and some drinks.
