    Historic Tavern with all the Milwaukee Beer history. Just reopened this week. Great staff and food. Hidden gem....

    So many memories here... all good! This establishment is so beautiful. Really pulling for a reopening this fall (2021) in the very near future. A real gem!

    EXCELLENT BEER BATTER FISH FRY, 3 HUGE PIECES. Meal is served in a basket but there are plates on the table you can use. OUT OF THIS WORLD OLD FASHIONEDS. EXCEPTIONAL Potato Pancakes. Highly recommend. Reservations accepted but we got right in.

    I work in the building and love having the Brown Bottle downstairs. It’s cozy and welcoming and they have some seriously good food. My favorite thing about Brown Bottle though, has to be stopping at happy hour with work friends. Susie the bartender remembered our names and regular orders after just a few times and it is always fun to chat with her when we stop in. Happy hour is always more fun when she is working! As for food, I recommend the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the burgers ( which are amazing.)

    The vintage look of the bar and the decor of the room makes The Brown Bottle a very attractive place to visit. Great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming service. They have a nice selection of beers and the prices are affordable. Definitely a place I will visit again.
