George Webb Restaurant

My wife and I were looking for an in-between snack while shopping in downtown West Allis. Not a lot for snacking there, so we decided to go into George Webb. The place was clean, well lit, and the staff was friendly, greeting us as we walked in. We sat at the counter, and ordered beverages. After taking our food order, the waiter made sure that our beverages were topped off regularly. Our food came out fast. Nicely done breakfast fare, we both got eggs and corned beef hash. Hers were over easy, mine over medium. The corned beef wasn't high quality, but it was decent. The rest of the breakfast was excellent, considering eggs are a hard thing for diner cooks to consistantly get right. Both breakfasts came with toast, but hashbrowns were an upcharge. Still, the price of 2 breakfasts, coffee, a Pepsi, and tip came to less than $25, a real deal. I would recommend them, as my many experiences there have all been positive, on all three shifts.

OK, it's a George Webb so you know what your are getting. It's not gourmet food. But...

This particular location gets pretty high marks from me. The price was very clean. From the tables to the floors I didn't find anything that looked questionable. Our server was cheerful and engaging.

Overall a great experience with admittingly low expectations coming in.

Waitress was super friendly. We sat and she was asking what we wanted right away. Food was delicious. Definitely going back. Had to ask for the check though. That's why only 4 stars. . The bathroom key on the spoon was hilarious.
