    Very hometown atmosphere with friendly staff. Food is amazing. Everything was homemade and delicious. They really try to please.

    We stopped in for lunch on the 4th of July. We arrived around 11:30 and found they were closing at 1:00.The waitress was very pleasant during our entire visit. We each ordered a hamburger and waited about 20 to get our food. It was worth the wait. The hamburger patties were handmade and cooked to perfection. The buns were fresh, buttered, and toasted. The fries were as hot and fresh as the burgers.
    The decor is eclectic, a combination of artifacts from the 50's to the present. The dining area was clean. The bathrooms were clean and functional but in need of repair and painting.
    The table next table over ordered hot beef and it looked really good.
    Laverne and Gail's is worth the trip.
