Lime Cantina

We ate outside for our first visit. The staff was excellent. The place has potential. The food for claiming to be mexican was so so. The homemade chips were good, but our two different dishes had way to many mushrooms that one would not expect with little flavor.

Came in on Monday the 14th for dinner. Overall an excellent experience. Wait staff was very attentive and did a great job.
Tonight’s dinner was sponsored by Califino Tequila which was a nice surprise. Got an excellent appetizer and shot of their top shelf tequila for free which was much appreciated.

We had the Ceviche for starter which was excellent, I could eat that any day of the week. Huge portion, good amount of crab, tender, juicy...perfect on a nice day. Chips and salsa served were also excellent!

Then for main entree we had steak fajitas and their pork mole enchiladas. Both had excellent presentation, and perfect serving portion. My steak was very tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. Only thing we could say after finishing about half our meal is that the meat in our meal could both use some additional seasoning and/or salt. Definitely tasted good, tender and juicy, just needed more of the flavor portion. Honestly just a touch more salt and I think it would come together. Rice and beans were probably the best I’ve had in a long time as well.

Overall will definitely be back. Cedarburg definitely needed a good Mexican restaurant with awesome outdoor seating. And finally a place that can make a great tasting margarita!

We’ve been waiting for several days, while visiting Cedarburg, to try the Lime Cantina. We ate outside & the environment was extremely comfortable. Staff (McKenna) was very courteous and attentive. Michelle (owner) visited our table at least twice. The chips, salsa and guacamole were incredible, and we loved our lunch. The mini chimichangas were light and the nachos were perfect. Bravo Cedarburg. This new restaurant is a home run!

The 3 stars are for staff and presentation. The bar looked pretty cool. We ate outside and thought it was a nice casual atmosphere . The food however was not good. There was absolutely no taste, no flavor to anything....no garlic, no cumin, no spice whatsoever. We were very disappointed. The price of a small margarita was $9.50 ... crazy expensive. We probably wont go again which is too bad because we live in Cedarburg and want to support local eateries, unfortunately this was NOT mexican cuisine.
