Food was great, and service very good, but a loudmouth old man with a beard was talking politics loud! He was so obnoxious we left.

Great burgers,only taco's on Tuesdays and a great Friday fish fry friendly atmosphere reasonable prices

If you're driving on Hwy 38, going either to Oak Creek or Racine, you know you've passed by the Hushers Pub & Grill on the north side of the road. And you know you've wondered what was inside, whether it was worth a stop. Well, it is!!!

You can eat inside or outside, although I like the AC indoors. And if you're a sports fan, as I am, you can choose to watch something popular, like the Brewers -- on a screen so detailed that you can actually see the network's batters' box!!! -- or something just as cool, like women's college sports (the ladies I saw in their championship ballpark were a breath of fresh air on a steamy Thursday not so long ago).

But if you like food (and who doesn't???), then you've found your spot. The burgers are big and meaty, with only the toppings you want, and the fries are hearty and potatoe-y, with just the right amount of seasoning, imho. And the chicken strips -- their taste, their size -- put any national chains' to rest in less than a second, fuh-real!!! And there's always plenty of ice cubes, or refrigeration, for anything you might want to drink cold.

And the atmosphere: It's friendly without being intrusive. You can sit at the bar (and do what Billy Joel suggests), or you can sit at a table, inside or outside, and if you want to talk to others, that's fine: You won't be turned away!!! But if you want to stick to the ones you've come with, that's fine, too. Either way, you'll feel comfortable, even (or especially) if you bring a kiddo along for a "special night out!!!"

So, make that right or left turn, pull into the parking lot, get out of your vehicle, and c'mon in. You won't be disappointed with the food (the portions are plentiful enough to take some home, although you may not wanna share!!!) or the folks (because you'll see, and meet if you want, people from all walks of life). Just as important, you'll be supporting a good business that, like everything these days, needs community support, to boot!

Having recently returning to the Racine area the first thing I planned was a friday night fish fry with fiends. Immediately I thought of Husher Pub. We were not disappointed, It was very busy and we had a 35 minute wait and it was well worth it. The only thing wrong is it has to many choices. Bluegill, Walleye, Cod, Pearc, Shrimp and at a very reasonable price($12) for the fish, slaw, rye bread {that I did not care for since I do not like caraway}, the tarter sauce is awesome {a bigger slice of lemon would be nice}. Check it out you won"t be disappointed. My next trip there will be for Taco Tuesday, and I'm told to get there early because it gets very busy very quickly.

Great fish fry and great burgers! We have ordered carryout a number of times since the onset of Covid and we havent been disappointed. Orders are always acurate and food is cooked well.
