Eggs sausage and toast we’re not very good. Sausage looks like it was cut from a large link and had a nasty taste and consistency. Our scrambled eggs were pretty much fold it over with a very odd taste. Toast came out cold and very crunchy, if they would have put butter on the toast while it was still warm it would have been decent. The only thing that we liked was the bacon. I would have gave them a lower score but the other food is probably much better. restaurant looks very clean except for the bathroom.
We are not too crazy about Cracker Barrel restaurants because most of the time they are chaotic, noisy (great family restaurants) Recently while traveling we stopped at this Cracker Barrel...it was reasonably quiet, there were still embers in the inviting fire-place, we had good service and the food had that 'down home' appeal.
I do have to mention the dirty spoon in our packet of dinner-ware. Ewww!
My family and I have always loved Cracker Barrel and my last visit was no exception. Friendly helpful staff, fun stuff to look at and buy, and good tasty food. In the past when there has been a problem, management has always quickly and kindly taken care of any issue. Any time we can't agree on where to go and eat, Cracker Barrel is always the answer.
Great service, consistent quality food every time we have stopped. Our server was awesome, and treated us very well. Perfect for families or just a place to go with the guys or gals to enjoy a breakfast or lunch in a comfortable environment.
Almost ALWAYS spot on with impeccable service!
I've ordered the same "eggs in a basket" at least 6 times in the last 6 months. I get my eggs cooked the same "over medium" and every single time 1 egg is always over hard, the other is barely runny. Even brought it up with a manager on one of my visits. She was very polite and assured me she would notate it with her cooks.
I ordered again just the other day and thought I would order it different "over easy" and maybe I would get my eggs more runny - nope, still 1 over hard egg and 1 very slightly runny egg.
I'm thinking now - these cooks are not trained in the basics of culinary 101. They are trained in how to make every dish the same exact way. No deviation. If I had to think logically about this - they are not prepping these 2 slices of bread with holes in the middle before they put them on the grill. Bread should be buttered, centers removed, both placed on the grill at the same time and eggs cracked.
Either way, still my favorite dish and still super friendly people.????
