Flambeau Lodge and Campground

My wife and myself stayed here for 3 nights in a tent. We camped right by the waters edge. Everyone was very nice. The food at the bar and grill was amazing. The noise/ music from the bar wasn't necessarily favorable but comes with the territory I suppose. The fishing is great on the river, especially if you like catching smallmouth, it was non stop. We lost cell service outside of Ladysmith so it was fairly tricky to find the camp initially. All in all I would stay here again and recommend it. 4 stare because of the loud music.

Took a 12 mi canoe trip down flambeau and after the shuttle we ran out of gas.. so we pulled in to the Lodge on Mothers Day with hopes they’d sell gas to us! Well they were closed when we arrived but we met Maryann!! She went out of her way to take care of us! We were not intending on becoming customers when we rolled in, but have they sure won us over in their positive attitude and uncanny customer service.

You get that north woods family feel with their employees. You can tell they love chatting with people and just very laid back.

Could tell they are working hard on improving & expanding the grounds with new lots for more camping. Can’t wait to see what Rob continues to do with this place!

Beautiful views, good food friendly atmosphere. The multitude of Humming birds are amazing to watch. Owner / bartender should maybe drink a little less. Ok, the place is sold again...... another guy with great ideas and ambition with a passion for drinking. I really hope he can accomplish what he has in mind. The food was good, with good prices. The menu is very limited, as are the alcohol choices. The staff seems friendly enough but needs more training/guidance to bring them up to par with the nearby competition down river.

Camped here with the family over Memorial day weekend 2018. If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is it! No cell phone reception but who cares! The view of the river was great. Not all the electrical hook ups worked but we didn't care. The bar had water that we could fill up our campers with and a dumping station. This is what back woods Wisconsin is about! Get ready to go off the grid when you get here. Disconnect from the digital world and connect with nature!

2019 Update: New Owners. Loud music from bar at all hours of the night. A lot less family friendly this year.
