Los Portales

Los Portales is the sit-down Mexican restaurant Hayward has been waiting for. My cousin and I got food to go and the quality + presentation was surprisingly fantastic. They also provide chips and salsa on all to-go orders!! Best suprise ever. I am a huge fan and look forward to making Los Portales my new staple.

It's good food. Quick service. Nice dining experience. Prices are reasonable. I am always thinking about when will I go back...and we have been going about once a weeks since they re-opened. Treat yourself. It's worth it

Delicious! Stopped in for lunch, had a chicken taco salad and the Shrimp Burritos California (it was HUGE!) and a couple margs. Nice atmosphere, fast friendly service, and nice music to lunch to. We'll be back!

As with the previous review, my husband and I have been enjoying meals at the restaurant site throughout various owners. We went to lunch today and were extremely impressed by the owner and staff, the cleanliness and renovation, menu and fabulous food! Best Mexican food we've had in years! Highly recommend!

We are locals. My husband and I went there for my birthday (12/28/22). We've been going to this restaurant for years (with many owner changes) and while I've always enjoyed the food, the new owners prepare food that I'll dream about (lol) it was so good! Every single item was delicious! I had the Fajita Jalisco and my husband had the Shrimp Enchilada's. I enjoyed a large Golden Margarita which was also good!

We tried a couple of dishes as sides; I recommend the Mexican Sweet Corn and the Chunky Guacamole - both make great dips for the chips as well as a side dish.

I like the way they have opened up the walls of the restaurant. You can see the bar area from the door, the additional seating area is open as well as a view into the kitchen. It makes if feel more spacious. The staff were prompt and friendly! If I could give 10 stars I would.
