It gets better every time we go! They added a walleye fish fry and it is fantastic - a huge filet. The new owners are doing a great job, especially given the difficulty finding reliable help these days. It was great to see it packed on Sunday. Our wait was short and I didn't see anyone else wait more than one drink. They added a big yard games area to play while you wait. Keep up the great work! We are excited to have this great place on our lake!
The food was pretty good, and they had a decent selection of brews on tap. The only downside was the wait to get seated and the wait for beverage refills, but that could just be due to the newness of the staff. I would definitely suggest getting their cheeseburger, it's greasy but SO good!
This is a fantastic place to sit and stay a while. It cured my "Hayward Flu " with crispy chicken strips, crunchy fries, and fabulous onion rings. The portions were large, totally enough for at least two people as a meal or a table as an appetizer. The beers were frosty cold, the bar tender was awesome, and the locals were friendly. It's easy to find on Round Lake, easy to dock at. I want to give a special shout out to the woman who worked there and gave me directions to the boat landing. She went above and beyond to help me figure out where to go. Thank you!!!
Overall food and service was good. Menu limited post holiday weekend. After just opening it will take some time for them to understand their purchasing needs. One big disappointment: a glass of house wine appears to be short of the standard 5-6 ounces. Maybe 3 ounces. They should charge more or pour more or both. Probably better to buy a bottle.
We wish them the best and many many years of success!!!!
