I really liked this place! I came for the different food options. Service by an elderly lady was excellent! The atmosphere was also very appealing. Definitely would stop back again.
The pie alone was worth the 2 hour drive. The food is definitely worth stopping by for. Check out the gift shop across the street too! Loved this place
The food was generic diner quality. Nothing special, though we didn't try the lefsa. I ordered potato pancakes, which I've had before and it was more like a crepe made with potato based batter. But what I received here was hash-browns cooked in patty shape. Not at all what I was expecting so I sent them back. The french toast that I got instead were good just nothing special.
But we did buy some wild rice cranberry bread to go and that was great.
Very lovely lunch today. It was a very busy time so it took a bit longer to get the food out, but it was worth the wait. We had Norwegian Pancakes, French Toast, Hot Brown, and a Classic Reuben. Then we got an award winning Blueberry Lemonade Pie to go. The meal and pie were pricey but yummy!
Decent food. Service was a little less than desirable. I ordered a fish fry and had the choice of beer battered or baked. I asked for the beer battered. Apparently, the kitchen was out of beer battered for the night. Most servers would ask if baked was okay and offer to change the menu choice. I was just served the baked fish with no explanation. I had to ask why the fish preparation was changed. Then, it was all you can eat and when I asked for a second serving of fish, the server questioned for a minute or two whether I was serious or not. The first serving was not huge so, I didn't understand the third degree for "All You Can Eat" on a Friday night.
