This restaurant is definitely a “destination” for dinner. A little expensive but worth every penny. Had an absolutely superb pork chop with braised brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken pot pie was done to perfection with a flaky crust top. Our dinner was preceded by a stupendous flat bread appetizer.
We did not have any dessert since we were full, but the desserts looked out of this world and the recipients reaction to their first bite was priceless. You won’t want to miss a chance to eat here if you have the opportunity. Staff were great and the whole place was very clean.
We will be back with out-of-state company as we show them some of Wisconsin’s finest.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my friend for a little mini vacation and would do it again in a heartbeat. Yes, the rooms are small. If you look at the website it is very clear. However, there is a seating area outside of the rooms with games and books. There are 2 shared bathrooms that are very clean and comfortable, so if you're worried about a shared bathroom it is not weird at all. They're very nice. The owners are amazing people. The definition of hospitality. I was lucky enough to spend some time with them and loved to hear about the teens that they hire and mentor. I've been coming here for music for 20 years and now I can say I've stayed at the hotel! Do yourself a favor and check out out!!

We loved the small town atmosphere! The veggie platter was amazing! The hummus was so so good! Music was very good, their outdoor space is great! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area

Whether looking for a low key lunch after a sweaty bike ride or a fancy dinner date, the Hotel always welcomes with open arms. The bluff views are second to none while the atmosphere has authentic river charm. The farm to table fare ranges from comfort classics to adventurous. Recently I had octopus leg for the first time and it was really amazing. Who knew? Chef Gavin did. The meatloaf is the best I've ever had (sorry mom), and the Guinness chocolate cake is beyond decadent! The wine options are obviously selected with great care. You won't find any at the super market and there's always an interesting glass to try. Wonderful experience all around!

My husband and I went here over the weekend. Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had! The service was great and the food was even better. We tried the Walnut Balls and they were pretty good. It was like walnuts and stuffing formed into a ball. The homemade honey mustard that came with them was amazing. I also had the chicken and rice soup and it was delicious. For my entree, I had the shrimp and gnocchi and I am still telling my husband about how fabulous it was. He ordered the meatloaf and I tried some and I couldn't decide which dish was better! I have nothing bad to say about this place and if I am ever in Trempealeau again, I know where I am going to eat.
