Great River Roadhouse

Great food but the waitress wasn't. my tea didn't come and when I asked for it she brought sweet tea and when I said I ordered unsweetened she said oh and that was it. She brought drinks from the bar completely backwards and we had waited so long we said okay but then they changed us full price. I guess I expected that if they make a mistake either you fix it or you compensate the customer.

The pizza was awesome! All the portions were large. Our group also had hamburgers, fries, onion rings and other sandwiches. Everything was great.

Had Monday peel and eat special can't beat the price and the taste be is delicious. Even had leftovers for another day. Had the pizza a few days earlier was just as delicious. Certainly a stopping place when we are in town.

Building and atmosphere very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Was not packed with people, but kitchen was behind. Took 40 minutes to get order. Not terrible but could be better.

Giant, tasty, sometimes diet-busting portions are standard fare here. Our strategy is to eat our fill and take the rest home for two more meals. The building and decor are updated traditional Wisconsin road house, so the name fits. Crowds can overwhelm the kitchen at peak times, so plan accordingly.
