Opus at The Belfry House

My husband and I did not realize Williams Bay had a new restaurant in town. We were excited to check out Opus at The Belfry House. We had no idea of what to expect and we were blown away by our experience at the restaurant. My husband said he looked forward all day to a romantic dinner at this new restaurant. We were thrilled the evening was so wonderful. When we walked in the front door, it instantly felt warm and cozy with sexy lighting, soothing aroma and a roaring fire. Social distancing was clearly in place with the lay out of the lobby and dining area. After a few minutes in front of fire, we were escorted into the dining area. It felt like we were among friends as the entire staff was so warm and welcoming. Both my husband and I were first wowed by simply sitting down at the table. The chairs were so comfortable. We have NEVER noticed chairs to stand out in a restaurant. These chairs definitely stood out and both of us took notice of the comfort. Another great detail was the waxed seal on the menu. (see photos) I have not seen a waxed seal for years! So simply breaking the seal, opening the menu and then seeing it was customized specifically with our name on top welcoming us to our Dinner Party continued to exceed our expectations. We could see the Chef and the staff preparing our meal. The waiter was AWESOME and assisted us in the perfect wine pairing for our dinners. They have over 300 different types of wine. The waiter took so much time with us, which made us feel so relaxed and not rushed. We looked forward to enjoying our dinner as we watched the pleased expressions of other dinner guests as they raved about their soup/entrees. We were not disappointed, the dinner was exceptional! Overall, this restaurant had the ambiance and relaxation of a spa experience that beautifully complimented an extraordinary Fine Dining experience. We are excited to try their "At Home" take out options as well. :) We will be back!

Fantastic food. The best dinner that I've had in a long time.

We were lucky to discover the lovely opus dining room inside the Belfry House. The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. We feasted on everything from the steak tartare, fillet, and striped bass, to the more unique venison chop. The cocktails were on point. The service was so welcoming. We were even greeted by the wonderful chef at the end of our exquisite meal. We will be back soon and be back often. Hats off to the new establishment

Opus just opened tonight, dinner was outstanding! The food fare was unique and delicious and dessert, wow! Just enough! The owners, Mike and Mary, you have created one gem in the Delavan, WI area and my husband and are looking forward to returning for another dining experience.
